Our Story
Abbey moved to Dubai in 2019. Coming from the UK she was stunned to see many cats on the streets, injured, abandoned and abused - she couldn’t just sit back and watch. With her love for animals, and growing up with so many pets since a young girl, she decided to help the UAE cats one by one. Before long she had rescued and re-homed over 200 cats.
Predominately helping the Arabian Mau, the local cat of the United Arab Emirates, Abbey learn what joys this breed of cat brought to her life. Whilst she helped them, she realised they helped her in more ways than one.
Abbey wants to continue her journey helping as many animals as possible, educating on the responsibility of owning a pet and promoting her love for animals and the Arabian Mau to all.
Here, Mau and Me is born.
